BSAC has held a private roundtable with the BFI Commission on UK independent film.
In July 2017,the BFI launched a Commission on UK Independent Film to look at the health of the UK independent film industry and make evidence based recommendations on what should be done to improve conditions for its long-term future, in particular for stronger growth at home and internationally. The establishment of this Commission was a key priority for the industry, as identified in the BFI’s new five-year plan for UK film, BFI2022, and is chaired by Zygi Kamasa (CEO, Lionsgate UK and Europe).
BSAC’s roundtable was held with the participation of the Commission chair, Zygi Kamasa, as well as a number of other members of the Commission. It offered an opportunity for Members to directly provide input into this investigation and to inform the Commission’s work.
This was a private roundtable for BSAC Members.
