BSAC is responding to the DCMS consultation on the European Commission's 'Creative Europe' proposal to merge the MEDIA and Culture support programmes.

Parent Port launched in October to make it easier for parents to complain about material they have seen or heard across the media, communications and retail industries.
BSAC will be responding to the Government Consultation on the proposals for implementing a number of the recommendations that Government accepted in its response to the Hargreaves Review of IP and Growth.
Richard Hooper was appointed in November 2011 to lead a feasibility study into developing a Digital Copyright Exchange in the UK. BSAC hosted a meeting with Richard Hooper in January.
BSAC is holding a seminar on the use and ownership of data on Thursday, 2 February 2012. The seminar is jointly hosted by the British Screen Advisory Council (BSAC) and Intellect, the technology trade association. It will explore issues emerging from the unprecedented ability to collect data made possible through technological developments.
